Malala Day celebrated by Police DAV Public School, Patiala

To commemorate the birthday of Malala Yousafzai   , Malala Day was celebrated by Police DAV Public School Patiala .Its purpose was to honour women and children’s rights around the world.To mark this day  a special virtual assembly  was conducted by Pansy Housein which Samreet Kaur of seventh class      shared a speech .She told that she was awarded the first ever National Youth Peace  Prize by the Pakistan government. At the age of 17 , Malala became the youngest ever recipient of the Nobel peace prize in recognition of her efforts for children’s rights.She determined to continue her fight until every girl could go to school .She stood for her people to restore the rights of education  to  women.Her journey started when she was just 15 years old . She was shot on her head. She bravely continues to work hard and strive for education justice so that every child can get education.  School Principal Mrs Meena Thapar shared her views in  favour of girl education and children rights .She told the students the value of education   and motivated  them to be brave and fight for their rights.
