Martyrdom Day of Guru Teg Bahadur ji was observed with great love and devotion, at Police DAV Public School Students of Jasmine House were prepared to deliver a speech, recite a heart rending poem and a shabad. Heabanjot Kaur of class 9th shared the great life history of the ninth guru.She shared that he championed the rights for religious freedom and sacrificed his life for the people who were not from his own community. During the reign of Aurangzeb, Islam was imposed on all.Hindu temples faced demolition and were turned into mosques.Amongst all this Guru Teg Bahadur ji stood up against the persecution and refused to convert to Islam.He was beheaded in Delhi in 1675.
Sahibdeep of class7th recited about his glory through his touching poem portraying his supreme sacrifice to protect the faith, belief and rights of people.Guru ji gave the message of peace and universal brotherhood.
