Police DAV Public School Patiala celebrated GREEN WEEK

Nature has bestowed us with many gifts. Inorder to inculcate the habit of gratitude and to understand the importance of conserving natural resources, students of Police DAV Public School participated enthusiastically in GREEN WEEK wherein various activities were organised. Students of Nursery to 5 took part in Seed Germination activity where they learnt how to grow sprouts and their health benefits. Students of class 6&7 participated in slogan writing and Paragraph writing on Nature and it’s resources. The best ones were applauded whole heartedly.

Students also participated in Sprouts Salad day where they made salad using Sprouts and shared their knowledge with others.

They also actively participated in Green Fruits Day where they ate green fruits and spoke on their unique features. Every child took turns to speak and boost their confidence.

On the concluding day, a function was organised to mark the day and Teej festival.

Students were told about the significance of Teej celebration. They were dressed up in green coloured clothes and Punjabi attire. They recited poems, sang songs, danced ,etc to express their joy.

They displayed  their creative side with hand impression, vegetable impression and craft activities. 

They were applauded  by the school Principal Ms Meena Thapar for their untiring efforts to make the week successful. She

also motivated them to educate others too to save nature . She further added that students should participate in such initiatives and shed their inhibitions. 

The function concluded on an inspiring note.
