A special webinar was conducted by Police DAV Public School Patiala on 1December, 2020 under the directions and guidelines of S.Vikramjeet Singh Duggal (IPS) SSP Patiala and S.Palwinder Singh Cheema, S.P Traffic Police Patiala. Mrs. Pushpa Devi,Incharge Traffic and Road safety Education Cell, Patiala Police addressed the attendees. Students of classes 5 to 7 attended the special meeting. Ms Pushpa Devi guided the students of by telling them the importance of following the traffic rules, consequences of underage driving, how children can protect themselves from evil eyes and from their own temptations. She made the students aware regarding kinds of cyber crimes and their drastic consequences .She shared the important helpline emergency numbers and apps being run by Indian Police for the safety of the children and taught how to use them.She also told the importance of wearing mask and social distancing to protect themselves and others from this pandemic Covid 19. She also motivated the students to spread its awareness to others for their safety.
The school principal Ms Meena Thapar thanked the Speaker and Police cell for taking this initiative and also for this highly informative and valuable session. She further added that such programmes enable students to interact with officials and clear their doubts. She inspired the students to raise questions and spread knowledge about traffic rules amongst others too.
