Diwali, the biggest festival of India was celebrated with gaiety, grandeur and religious   fervor by Police DAV Public  School Patiala. On this occasion ,a special  assembly was conducted by Zinnia house in which  students were told about the importance of this day.To mark this day a speech was shared  by Jobanpreet .She told that it is celebrated in the memory of lord Rama who returned Ayodhya after 14 years of exile and people decorated their houses with candles and diyas to indicate the victory of good over evil.On this occasion candle and diya decoration competition was also organised in which students from class 3rd to 7th participated with zest and zeal. Students from class 8th 9th and 10th took part in Rangoli competition and  mesmerized one and all with their creativity. Students from primary and pre-primary won every heart with their performances .They performed song and dance related to this festival. Students from 3rd to 5th presented a skit giving the message of celebrating clean and green Diwali.    Principal Mrs. Meena Thapar appreciated the students for their wonderful performances She wished all the students and staff members a very happy and prosperous Diwali.She also extended her warm and heartfelt greetings for Vishwakarma Day and Bhai Dooj festival.
