Independence Day was celebrated with zeal and zest by Police DAV Public School Patiala. This day is celebrated religiously throughout the country on 15th August every year .lt holds tremendous ground in the list of national days .lt reminds every Indian about the dawn of a new beginning, the beginning of an era of deliverance from clutches of British colonialism of more than 200 years.Our struggle for freedom was a long and tire some one , witnessing the sacrifices of many freedom fighters who laid down their lives..To mark this day a special assembly was conducted by Zinnia House
in which Sehajpreet of class fifth shared a speech regarding this day . Students of class third to fifth lifted the spirit of patriotism by reciting wonderful poems of our motherland. . Students of class fifth mesmerized one and all by singing a beautiful song and told
value of oneness and togetherness.Student of all classes presented amazing art forms.A dance was also presented by the tiny tots to remind us the sacrifices of our freedom fighters .
Students of class 8th 9th and 10th expressed their feelings through dance item ,parade and by singing patriotic songs. The Officiating Principal Mrs .Sukhjit Kaur shared her views and motivated all the students to participate in school programme and other activities to gain confidence.She urged everyone to be brave and determined in their work and achieve their goal with dedication, consistent hard work. She expressed her greetings on this special day and wished for a healthy and prosperous nation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
