Police DAV Public School Patiala celebrated Gandhi Jayanti & Agrasen Jayanti

2 October is celebrated as Gandhi Jayanti so as to pay homage to the Father of the nation, Mahatma Gandhi , on his birth anniversary. Floral tributes were paid to the veteran leader by the students and staff of Police DAV Public School Patiala. Students of the primary wing did worksheets and shared information about the 3 principles of Gandhi ji. Bhajans were enchanted by the students  which made the ambience religious and patriotic. Students of pre primary classes made craft activities displaying their affection and respect towards the leader. They spoke out lines on Gandhi ji and made every one mesmerized. Bhavjot Kaur of class 5 delivered a speech in this regard. Students recited poems and wrote slogans on cleanliness. An activity  Run for Fun was also organised by the Primary students in order to create awareness about Cleanliness under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.They also enthusiastically participated in the cleanliness drive of the campus and motivated others. Agrasen Jayanti falls on 3 October this year. So, the students paid floral tributes to King Agrasen for his unmatched accomplishment for the people of India. During the special assembly, a speech was delivered by Manmeet Kaur of class VI highlighting the contribution of Maharaja Agrasen towards humanity.On this occasion the school officiating principal Ms Sukhjit Kaur applauded the efforts of the students in making the day a success . She encouraged students to follow the footsteps of Gandhi ji and adopt his principles in order to lead a contented life. She further motivated students to learn from the life of Maharaja Agrasen and believe in the service of mankind. The celebration ended on an inspiring note.
