Police D.A.V. Public School, Patiala inaugurates D.A.V. State Athletic Meet 2025 with great enthusiasm

On Friday, October 17, 2025, Police D.A.V. Public School, Patiala inaugurated the D.A.V. State Athletic Meet 2025 with great enthusiasm, hope, and excitement under the esteemed joint initiative of the D.A.V. Organization. The event commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp followed by the D.A.V. song.This athletic meet will continue for two days, featuring participants from 50 D.A.V. schools across Punjab who had excelled in the cluster-level competitions and were selected for the state-level contests. On the first day, girls’ events were held, which included 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, and 1500m races, along with discus throw, shot put, triple jump, high jump, long jump, relay races, and several other track and field events.

The event was graced by the presence of Sardar Sukhdev Singh Ji, from S.G.F. D.A.V. Public School, Fazilka, as the supervising principal. Other distinguished guests included Cluster Head Mr. Vivek Tiwari, Principal of D.A.V. Public School, Patiala, Mrs. Sandeep Renu, Principal of D.A.V. Global School, and Mr. Manoj Kumar, Principal of D.A.V. Public School, Samana, whose presence added charm and prestige to the event.

The Principal of the host school, Sardar Rajwant Singh Ji, extended heartfelt gratitude to all the principals, coaches, teachers, athlete participants, and guests for their presence and cooperation. In his address, he stated that the school is always committed to the holistic development of its students. He emphasized that such sports events are not only vital for physical growth but also instill values of teamwork, discipline, and morality among students.The winning athletes were honoured with medals and trophies. The meet proved to be a great success in every aspect, as the participants showcased their skills, sportsmanship, and dedication, proudly carrying forward the rich sporting legacy of the D.A.V. Organization. The winning athletes will now represent at the D.A.V. Nationals.
